Through the 13 seasons—and counting—of Keeping Up With the Kardashians,
the one thing that has stayed consistent is this clan’s commitment to
family—and ringleader Kim K is hoping to add one more to the fold. In the sneak peek for this Sunday’s episode, Kim reveals that she’s
planning to have surgery to “repair her uterus” so that she can have a
third child with hubby Kanye West. “I have to have a surgery on my uterus to repair this hole, so they
need to clean that out and then there’s like scar tissue,” says Kim in
the clip. “It will still be like a really high-risk pregnancy, but I
will be able to get pregnant.” Kim’s previous pregnancy issues included toxemia, which is also known as preeclampsia and causes dangerously high blood pressure. She also suffered from a “retained placenta” where the placenta attaches to the uterus and can result in excessive bleeding known as primary postpartum haemorrhage. As Vanity Fair recently pointed out, this season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians stands
apart from the rest because audiences are being treated to completely
new information each week that hasn’t made its way onto social media
yet. After Kim was robbed at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week, the
Kardashian fam filtered the flow of information to fans through the
show. We didn’t know about Kendall’s stalker until we saw it on KUWTK.
Our Insta feeds weren’t filled with party pics from Kim’s surprise
birthday. And while Kim’s desire to have a third child is not new, we
learned a lot about the lengths that she is willing to go on this latest
clip. “I want my kids to have siblings and I want to know that I did
everything that I could to make this happen,” says the 36-year-old mom
of North and Saint West. When this new information was released in the teaser clip for
Sunday’s episode, the haters predictably trolled Kim, criticizing her
decision. And then in a heartwarming twist, her pal, singer John Legend
(whose wife Chrissy Teigen has also been trolled about her reproductive decisions online), came to her defense. At the end of the trailer, we are left with more questions than
answers: did Kim get the surgery? Since this was all filmed months ago,
COULD SHE EVEN BE PREGGO RIGHT NOW? And where the eff was Kanye in all
this? In typical Kardashian style, we may have to wait until the season
finale for answers, but for now, two things are clear: Kim’s decision to
birth more babies is hers and hers alone (back OFF, trolls!), and John
Legend truly lives up to his last name.
